Chinese meatloaf (just like grandma used to make it . . . well, almost), baby bok choy, and zuresh polo.

Meatloaf:
You'll need a stainless steel bowl that fits in a rice steamer (or pot). Combine ground pork, soy sauce, a little bit of cooking wine, chopped spring onions, garlic, ginger, a dash of brown sugar, corn starch, and a few shakes of pepper. Mix well. Steam in rice cooker or on stove top for 30 min, or until the meat is no longer pink.

Bok Choy:
I like to cook my veggies in H20 - a little healthier than frying in oil. In the pan, heat water until its boiling, add garlic, a sprinkle of salt, and a couple shakes of pepper. Cook to desired tenderness.

Zuresh Polo:
This was purchased from Rose Market and can be found at most Persian restaurants. I think next time I'll stick to white rice though, since the meatloaf is quite flavorful and kind of overpowers the zuresh polo. I think zuresh polo is best enjoyed with chicken kebob. :)

Seared Garlic Ahi with Fresh Currants and Spinach

Prepped the skillet with fresh garlic and threw in the fresh spinach for less than a minute. one tip is to add a bit of brown sugar to get rid of the grainy taste with spinach (thanks for the tip ductape!). After its done, heated to high and seared the Ahi (mostly for color since you should always buy sashimi grade). added some currants to the side for taste and dinner is served.

Salad

To be honest, the only reason I posted this is that it was the first time I've used Jicama in a salad (I've only had it at restaurants, like Pluto's). It was quite easy (basically you just wash/skin/chop it) and it was a nice addition to organic greens, raspberries, yellow peppers, tomatoes, and a bit of pepper.

Spaghetti and meatballs

You gotta make the meatballs from scratch. Though I think I could use some perfecting of my technique, the oregano mixed in with the meat and a touch of salt tasted really good.

Fruit salad

Yummy fruit salad....grapes, strewberries, bananas, kiwi, etc

More halibut

This time I added a pomegranate marinade.

Breakfast

Now who could not love a breakfast like this one. Heart-healthy omelet (only one egg yolk), dates, avacado, juice, and whole grain toast.

Halibut

Fresh halibut with dill and lemon juice. Served on a bed of cilantro (can be substituted for something else...for all you cilantro haters)

Another Salad

Bet you can guess what I like to eat.

Salad and more salad

Totally Pluto's style. Just take your salad and throw in whatever you like. Remember to put the chicken on top at the last second and after letting it cool a bit. If you put hot chicken off the grill on the salad, it will make the lettuce instantly wilt.

Chili in a bread bowl

Very simple. Good for rainy days (like today....if you're living in California). Nothing much to explain...but I'd recommend lightly toasting the bread bowl before putting in the chili. It makes the inside and outside harden to hold the liquid better. I'll leave how to male homemade chili to someone else (who knows how to)

Grilled Shark

Now I know that this is bad luck if you're going out surfing, but for everyone else, it makes a nice change to regular seafood. In my opinion, it is a little tougher meat, kinda half fish/half beef in consistency. But very tasty with some lime juice and then straight on the grill.
